In addition to my clinical practice, I have a passion for sharing what I’ve learned in over the years of working in the field of pelvic health. I am on faculty at Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute and been a guest lecture for Simmons College and Bay State College.
Below are courses I’ve taught to health care professionals.
Yoga for Pelvic Pain
I created this course in 2012 for physical therapists and other pelvic health providers. It is a two-day continuing education course presented by Herman and Wallace where we explore how to integrate yoga into the treatment of pelvic pain.
Pelvic Floor 1
This course trains physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurse midwives, and other pelvic health providers how to treat urinary incontinence and the musculoskeletal components of urogynecologic pain syndromes. These syndromes include chronic pelvic pain (CPP), vulvar pain, and interstitial cystitis/painful bladder syndrome (IC/PBS).
Conferences I’ve spoken at
American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Annual Assembly to highlight trends in pelvic pain with a focus on musculoskeletal and neuropathic causes.
International Pelvic Pain Society (plenary speaker 2021, roundtable discussion moderator 2015, morning yoga sessions several years)
American Physical Therapy Association (CSM 2012 and 2020, APTA NJ, APTA MA meetings)
