Dustienne Miller PT, MS, WCS, CYT

Board Certified Women’s Clinical Health Specialist

Dustienne graduated from the Sage Colleges in 1999 with her physical therapy degree then made a pivot turn to pursue her love of musical theatre in New York. After spending a summer studying at The Ailey School, she danced professionally for several years, most notably with the national tour of Fosse. She bridged her dance and physical therapy backgrounds working for Physioarts, who contracted her to work backstage at several Broadway shows and for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular.

Trading the skyscrapers of NYC for the hills of Sonoma County CA, Dustienne Miller set up her clinical practice in Santa Rosa in 2012. After a wonderful year filled with sunshine and amazing food, she moved to Boston to be closer to her family. She is a board certified women’s health clinical specialist recognized by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. Dustienne weaves yoga postures, mindfulness and breathing into her clinical practice, having received her yoga teacher certification through the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health.

Dustienne had the honor of speaking at the Combined Sections Meeting of the American Physical Therapy Association in 2013. Her lecture, titled “Yoga for Pelvic Pain,” was met with such enthusiasm that another session was added to accommodate her interested colleagues. Dustienne wrote and continues to teach her two-day continuing education course called Yoga for Pelvic Pain. This course is facilitated through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, where she also trains other practitioners how to treat pelvic health concerns. Other speaking engagements have included additional APTA events, WOCN, and the interdisciplinary International Pelvic Pain Society.

Dustienne passionately believes in the integration of physical therapy and yoga in a holistic model of care, helping individuals navigate through pelvic pain and incontinence to live a healthy and pain-free life. Check out her pelvic health yoga videos designed to offer tools to her patients and customers world-wide.

In addition to her work in the pelvic health field, Dustienne continues to work in the theatre world. She is an assistant professor of theatre dance at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee. She works as an associate choreographer/director with her friend Rachel Bertone at Reagle Music Theatre.
